Jiji Begone

Jiji Begone is a puzzle game, in which the role of a player is reversed: you need to destroy yourself to clear a level. At the same time, you cannot hurt your enemies.

This game was created in 48 hours for GMTK Game Jam 2023.

Warning: This game includes implications of self-harm and suicide.

Synopsis

Jiji, humanity's great enemy, realized one day that the world destroyer wasn't the humans, but himself.

To pay for his sins, he would never hurt humans again and chose to tread the path of self-destruction. Is that really the correct choice?

Controls

Mouse left-click only!

To move the silver objects (deflector, portal & box), click on them once and move the mouse to the location you want to place the object. Then, left-click again to place the object.

Post Jam Changes

The web version is the post jam version. The Jam version can still be downloaded below.

Changes:

• An arrow shows which direction Jiji will shoot
• The deflectors show which direction they will deflect the magic
• Silver objects cannot be put on top of each other anymore
• Deflectors can only be moved once after magic has been cast
